The food was fantastic. We got the burrata and the strozzapreti special. Great balance of flavors for both. The burrata came with a pistachio pesto and pieces of pickled eggplant. It was creamy, savory, salty, all with some acidity from the eggplant. The strozzapreti had a great depth of seafood/tomato flavor with hint of spiciness. Really enjoyed this as well. I'd say our personal experience was a 5/5, especially with the view of the river. Would recommend. But we did notice that the service may vary significantly depending on your server. While we had a pleasant experience, we saw that the server of a table further away from us pretty much left the guests hanging for quite awhile when they were ready to order. Something to look out for.

Very nice pleasant experience at this restaurant! It's right on the Hudson River and they have seats outside as well as large windows on the inside so there are a lot of seating options with great views. There's a walkway to an open outdoor area with benches and incredible views of the river. You can even see the NYC skyline in the distance. We asked to be seated near the windows and they were able to accommodate us. Parking was ok - they have a parking lot that was full but there's also street parking available as well. I went on Father's Day, so they had a special menu. The menu came with three courses so you had to choose each course from a selection of options. I ended up getting the strawberry spinach salad as the appetizer and the braised short rib as my main course. All delicious! The main dish came with a creamy polenta, which is hard to see from the picture but it was delicious. The servers were really friendly, but overall service was somewhat lacking. The drinks took a while to come out, my brother needed a new glass of water that we had to ask for a couple of times, and the dessert also took a while to come out. I'm not sure if they were short staffed but it actually wasn't too crowded there, so I'm not sure why things took so long, especially since this restaurant was on the pricier side. I expected a little more on the service. But overall, the food, friendliness of the staff, location and ambiance made up for it somewhat. I definitely recommend this place for the great food and incredible views!

Tried 4 things, 3 were excellent: oysters (special), strip steak and Brussels sprouts (I normally dislike these but their version was excellent). Only the tiramisu disappointed. Large space, ample parking.

Harvest on Hudson restaurant is a fancy restaurant with an outdoor garden and view you cannot miss of the Hudson River and it's beautiful surrounding nature. A friend and I visited here on a Friday afternoon for a late lunch. I took the metro north from Grand Central to the Hastings Hudson train stop and the restaurant is about five minutes walk. Their menu had a massive cocktail and food selection. Everything looks so good, but we ended up ordering champagne, virgin cocktail, a margarita pizza pie, octopus and cookies with ice cream. The food and atmosphere was such perfection. Totally enjoyed our food selection and it's great to go with someone so you can share. It's funner that way. Honestly, I personally think I could have sat here forever and enjoy the view and keep ordering food and drinks. It's a great spot to visit in the warmer months, however, I'm planning on visiting in the winter months so I can experience the fireplace and indoor seatings. Our waitress and waiter were patience and provided exceptional services.

There are several Hudson River waterfront restaurants from Manhattan to Poughkeepsie. Most have beautiful views of the majestic Hudson and try to capitalize on the view with excellent food, service and decor. Harvest has hit all notes - the views of the Palisades are phenomenal, service (Breanna M.) is spot on and the food is very good. We had Baccala Zeppole ($16), like a white fish fritter. Four lightly fried balls with a spicy mustard aioli. They were very good, but there should have been 6 considering the cost of the ingredients. The special pasta cooked Al dente ($32) was penne with a pistachio pesto with fresh garden (you must check out the Harvest garden) zucchini and roasted tomatoes. A beautiful tasty dish with vibrant color to cap off the end of summer. The portion size was nice. The other menu pasta was shrimp with lemon and toasted breadcrumbs. A wonderful presentation and perfect with crusty bread for dipping. The six point Pilsner ($10) and no- alcohol Upside Golden Ale ($8) along with the GL Super Tuscan ($16) were great accompaniments to the food. So why not 5 stars? Basically, price point - several entrees I may have chosen or have eaten in the past such as Rabbit Scarpiello and Sword Fish are now over $50. I know the cost of high quality proteins for restaurants have skyrocketed, it's unfortunate my wallet hasn't kept up.

First the views of the Hudson are amazing. It was a lovely summer day so we elected to wait the 20 minutes for an outdoor table for 5. The reservation are a off since if you make a reservation it's for seating inside not outside. Outside seating is first come basis. As we were leaving the wait time was 45-1hr for outdoor seating. We ordered a variety of appetizers and entrees Short Rib amazing loved the "gravy" and the polenta. The bread was a bit much GRILLED OCTOPUS chickpea puree, fennel salsa verde, arugula - tender excellent flavor SHRIMP SCAMPI calabrian chili, garlic butter, lemon, parsley, sesame toast - just ok would have liked stronger flavors more garlic and chili. FORMAGGIO selection of imported and local cheese, honey, almonds, grilled bread - it's cheese you can't go wrong SPINACH & STRAWBERRY SALAD almonds, goat cheese, red onion, balsamic vinaigrette INDIVIDUAL CRUDO MISTO two shrimp, two oysters, two clams - good if one person wants a small raw bar for themselves FARFALLE AL LIMONE shrimp, lemon, basil, breadcrumbs WHOLE ROASTED BRANZINO tomato & onion salad, aoili, lemon (served head to tail, not filleted) BERKSHIRE PORK CHOP wood fired peppers & onions, anson mills fresh corn polenta BLACKBERRY FIELDS Absolut vodka, st. germain, blackberries Expresso Martini Would I go again absolutely. Is it pricey yes. But the views are amazing we had good service and an enjoyable meal
